The September 7, 2008 Annual Auction/Dinner/Car Show combination fundraiser found the Jaguar a new owner. George Dubic, owner of a cafe in Youngstown, Ohio, won the Jaguar. Surprisingly, it turns out that George once owned a similar Jaguar 10 years ago. He donated it to a local charity that raffled it off to raise funds for its cause!

In addition to a hot spaghetti dinner and a car show, there ware many celebrity items available for the auction (partial list below ) that also found a new home. The event raised a total of $3,551.00 for the A Way With Words Foundation, the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir, cancer survivors, and cancer research.

The winners of the Car Show were:

Ray Kleshock won the Judge's Choice Trophy with his 1956 Pontiac Chieftain

Charles Dressel won the Kid's Choice Trophy with his winged-door 1995 Chevy Impala decorated in Ohio State memorabilia

Mark Stovall gained the People's Choice Trophy for his 1966 Ford Mustang

The best part of the day's events? Hearing the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir perform live!!!

About the JAGUAR XJ6

The Vintage Classic 1984 Jaguar was made in the last year before the Ford Motor Corp. took over the Jaguar company. To raise funds to help children who have been touched with cancer, the Jaguar is being raffled as is. The car has around 117, 340 miles on it and almost everything is original to the car. Black in color, the car has Dual Chrome gas tanks. The appraised value is $5,300.00 as it sits.

Donated to the A Way With Words Foundation by a physician from Tennessee, local car buffs trailered the Jaguar here for the auction. It has never seen snow! Just before the auction, the Jaguar was professionally detailed to be as spiffy inside as it is on the outside.
