In front of Macy's Department Store at the Southern Park Mall in Boardman Ohio, the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir sang several songs from their latest music CD. The delightful performance of the children captivated a crowd of shoppers who stopped to listen and watch. The Award-winning artist and writer Chris Yambar was near the choir autographing the FIRST EVER release of his newly created LIFE MAXX™ comic book. Chris and fellow artist George Broderick, Jr. created the new superheros LIFE MAXX™, CHEMO GIRL™, and friends to tell the story of the heroes' fight with cancer in the midst of their regular battles with evil monsters. This is the first comic book about a super hero who is a cancer survivor! The comic book is part of a nationwide outreach to children's hospitals, schools, churches, and doctor's offices in the effort to raise awareness of children surviving cancer. The mall had many shoppers taking advantage of the mall-wide 15- 20% discounts. Several local charities benefited by the hearty participation, including the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. (AWWWF) and the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir. |

Caught on camera! This choice day of fun and fundraising for the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir in 2006 at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio was made possible with the help of racetrack co-owner and operator, Kate Blaney and her husband Lou. Kate is on the far left, standing next to Charlotte Labuda, the choir's director and choreographer.
The choir was also present to cheer on one of their favorite sponsors --- driver and stock car owner Stan Woomer. |

| At least once during the summer racing season at the track, the choir appears to perform and raise money for cancer research and support programs. On Father's Day weekend in 2007, the choir members painted small rocks with their T-shirt colors and wrote "Dad ROCcKS." The money raised from the sale of the rocks was donated to the Victory Junction Gang camp. | |||
