Simon Evening of Giving® Mall Event

In front of Macy's Department Store at the Southern Park Mall in Boardman Ohio on November 18, 2007, the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir sang several songs from their latest music CD released in August. The delightful performance of the children captivated a crowd of shoppers who stopped to listen and watch.

The mall had many shoppers taking advantage of the mall-wide 15- 20% discounts. Several local charities benefited by the hearty participation, including the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. and the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir.

The Award-winning artist and writer Chris Yambar was near the choir autographing the FIRST EVER release of his newly created LIFE MAXX™ comic book on November 18, 2007 during the 'Evening of Giving' charity fundraising event held at the Southern Park Mall in Boardman, Ohio.

Chris and fellow artist George Broderick, Jr. created the new superheros LIFE MAXX™, CHEMO GIRL™, and friends to tell the story of fighting cancer in the midst of their regular battles with evil monsters.

LIFE MAXX™ is the first comic book about a super hero who is a cancer survivor! Get more details at the LIFE MAXX Headquarters Web Site.

The innovative comic book initiative is part of a nationwide outreach to children's hospitals, schools, churches, and doctor's offices in the effort to raise awareness of children surviving cancer.

"We never do anything small in scope," said Yambar from his office in the Ohio One Building located in downtown Youngstown, Ohio, "When the sky is the limit you go for everything in sight . . . even if it means flying into an outer space adventure with your own super hero. Life Maxx™ is all about living each day to the maximum. It's a code worth thinking about and going for." Those are words the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir live in their work for each other and for others like them in need.
