2008 GOLF SCRAMBLE ANOTHER SUCCESS!

It was that time of the year again!!! This was your chance to be at the Shot Gun Start of the Annual Charity Golf Scramble on May 31st. Food, drink, raffles, and Mulligan tickets was available for the golfers, who braved high winds and threatening thunderstorms to finish the course and make the hole-in-one attempts.

There were a few heart-stopping moments when Ted Brown tried for the $5000.00 putt and missed by 14 inches. The ticket pulled for $250,000.00 hole-in-one went to Lance Bromley. Lance took the shot and it went right over the pin and carried by a gust of wind, just missed it by a few feet. All in all, both men gave it a great try.
No one hit any of the "Hole-In-One" prizes.

As you can see on the right, Brenda Rider had a lot of fun conducting the Annual Charity Golf Scramble. Rain threatened all day, but stayed clear for those who played golf and those who made the day a success. Many appreciative THANKS to those who kept it all running smoothly so everyone could enjoy the day!

The HOT, humid weather did not slow down the Choir's participation in the Cleveland Zoo Walk with LIFE MAXX™ on May 31st. Certainly this helped them get in great shape for the trip to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina later in June!

This was the second time ever that LIFE MAXX™ appeared live and he was an instant hit! Portrayed by Todd Stovall, LIFE MAXX™ made new friends all the way during the Zoo Walk, especially among children who were experiencing cancer in their lives.

Two New Music CDs Released This Month
No Good Way to Say Goodbye, music CD

The latest CD released May 19th by the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. was again written by Alan Matavich, but on a new topic: "No Good Day To Say Goodbye." Sung by professional singer and Foundation Board Member Janeen Williams, the song deals with leaving and loss. Combined again with Brenda Rider's musical composition and guitar playing, the CD a more complex musical arrangement than recent productions. Mike Talanca of Tune Town Recording Studios donated a masterful arrangement of the song on the CD.

Two CDs were released this month and they were both immediately played on local radio stations.

The same trio that created the "Dillon" songs released in May a new music CD entitled "Marc Dann's Party Pad" to emphasize no one is above the law.

Written and composed by Alan Matavich, Mike Talanca, and Brenda M. Rider, the song is about Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann, who was under fire for irregularities in his office. Talanca, with the help of 'local taxpayers', sings the musical satire.

Both songs were written and composed by Alan Matavich, Mike Talanca, and Brenda M. Rider. Mike Talanca sings "Marc Dann's Party Pad" and Janeen Williams solos on the "No Good Day To Say Goodbye" CD.

Published by the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc., the CDs can be purchased from our online catalog, or directly at Glorious Homes, Inc. on 14 N. Anderson Road, Austintown, Ohio Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm EST. Phone sales are also accepted during these hours by calling (330) 799-5301 or (330) 360-3300.

Due to the extraordinary generosity of all involved in the production of these latest CDs, all the proceeds go toward the support of the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. and the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir.
