About the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir

The R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir is sponsored by the A Way With Words Foundation , Inc. The R.O.C.c.K. part of the Choir's name represents the purpose of the choir: Raising Our Commitment to cancer Kids. The second letter "c" is not capitalized because we aim to make the painful effects of cancer small compared to what we can gain from the survival experiences we make and encounter along the way.

The Choir was created for children around the ages of 3 to 17 who were patients, survivors, relatives, or anyone who has been touched by cancer. Today the Choir continues its mission of expressing the voices of survival while learning new and exciting ways to cope.

I want to thank the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir for their exceptional performance at the Akron Children's Hospital Open House on December 7th, 2008.

While the Choir has always moved me, it was really special to me to see the effect the Choir had on my five-year-old daughter. You could see in her eyes that she knew the kids in the Choir were doing something truly extraordinary.

Thanks to the R.O.C.c.K. Choir kids and the A Way With Words Foundation for all that you do to advocate for cancer children and give them hope and inspiration.

God Bless,
Krista White

Choir Performed at Victory Junction Gang Camp

The R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir raised money through several projects so the Choir could perform for other children with cancer at the Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina in June. Here are a few highlights of their journey to make the trip of caring to the Camp.

May 31, 2008 was a BIG DAY for the R.O.C.c.K. Children's Choir and the A Way With Words Foundation, Inc. On the same day and at the same times, the Choir appeared with LIFE MAXX™ at the
Cleveland Zoo Walk in Cleveland, Ohio
while golfers who support them and the Foundation's goals took in the greens during the
Annual Charity Golf Scramble in Newton Falls, Ohio!
An almost hole-in-one winner, but the wind was too strong.
